What are the most read books in June? So far, they’re looking pretty similar to May, though we do have a new title in the second spot: Rewind It Back by Liz Tomforde, the final book in the popular hockey romance series. The rest will look familiar, with Onyx Storm still holding onto the fifth spot despite coming out in January.

Of course, the five most read books aren’t the be-all end-all of new books. In fact, they tend to be pretty homogenous. So, before we get into the countdown, let’s highlight a couple of new books out this week you should know about.

Onyx Storm came out in January, but it has hung onto its spot in the top five most read books on Goodreads. This is book three in the romantasy series set at a dragon-riding academy. The newest Empyrean novel was read by more almost 16,000 Goodreads users this week and has a 4.2 average rating.

Sunrise on the Reaping (The Hunger Games #0.5) by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games series is still just as relevant (if not more so) than it was when it started more than 15 years ago. Collins’s latest, which tells Haymitch Abernathy’s story, also sold 1.5 million copies in English in its first week. It was read by 26,000 users this week and has a 4.6 average rating.

Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry

Emily Henry is a staple author on the bestseller lists and the Goodreads most read list, so it’s no surprise to see her newest title here. It follows two writers competing to write the official biography of a reclusive heiress. It was read by almost 33,000 users and has a 4.1 average rating.
