Executive Coaching Process
Our executive coaching process is collaborative and customized. Our trained and experienced executive coaches help you define and reach your goals related to professional fulfillment, career learning and transitions, and team effectiveness. To maximize both personal and professional potential, a collaborative process will be developed that allows for deeper and more focused attention on individual challenges.
The Lumen’s Executive Coaching Process
Kickoff
The first step of a successful coaching process is ensuring there is a clear understanding of needs, motivations, desires, skills, and thought processes that could be supported to create lasting change. To gather this information, we will begin with a self-assessment. Through a one-on-one discussion, we will work to better understand the areas where you are excelling, and which ones may currently be challenges for you.
Defining Goals and Outcomes
The information gathered will allow for the development of an overall coaching plan. This plan will include desired goals and outcomes. It will also include a documented process for providing feedback to help ensure continued value and methods for assessing progress in reaching goals.
Coaching
To achieve the desired outcomes, a regular commitment must be made to participate in coaching sessions. The 45-minute coaching sessions will take place weekly, with some availability via email to address situations that arise between sessions. The coaching session will use your day-to-day experiences and challenges as the basis for learning. Additionally, coaching will be supplemented with helpful tools and/or resources to support continued development. Coaching will include accountability. Changing and/or elevating habits and practices can be hard and without accountability and support most often we don’t change.
Timeline
It takes time and commitment to change and elevate habits and practices. To receive the most impact, a three-month coaching arrangement is recommended with weekly sessions. Additionally, we have found monthly or quarterly ongoing check-ins following the three-month engagement help foster continued success in meeting and sustaining goals.
Investment
The total cost for the three-month coaching process outlined above, including self-assessment, one-on-one coaching sessions, and tools and resources is $3,000.
