Scott Keyser is The Writing Guy, who works with lawyers, accountants, engineers, consultants and other professionals. They’re clever, technical practitioners, but they’re not professional writers, so their writing lacks impact.
What Scott does is help them to find their voice, write Human, connect with their reader and get the results they want from the words they write.
In the last 17 years, he’s trained over 5000 professionals around the world in persuasive writing, including for a decade staff of The Economist Group, the Big Four accountancy firms, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and three ‘magic circle’ law firms, as well as countless smaller businesses.
As you might expect of someone who calls himself ‘The Writing Guy’, Scott’s written two books and is planning a third. He also serves as a bid consultant and writer, having helped Ernst & Young double its tender win-rate and an international consultancy quintuple its tender win-rate — after working with its Board for only two days.
Scott’s signature product is his 1-day rhetorica® workshop, where he shares his 15 rhetorica® persuasive writing techniques: 5 planning, 5 drafting and 5 editing. Applying any of these techniques is guaranteed to improve your writing.
Writing is a life skill and Scott has solved the riddle of how to do it well. He now wants to share that with the world both in the workplace and beyond. He’s on a mission to show millions of people, young and old, rich and poor, privileged and marginalised, that the ability to write well is neither an innate gift nor a Ninja-style black art, but a learnable skill like any other.
