Stars including Coco Rocha, Serena Williams, Anne Hathaway and Kim Kardashian were in attendance.

The 2023 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards took place in New York City on November 6 and the red carpet was stacked with stars — and style. And I don’t know about you, but my eyes were craving beauty (and glamour) so the stylish CFDA Awards 2023 were a welcome respite from the realities of the present moment.

With fashion designers, celebs, industry movers and shakers, and rising style stars in attendance at the American Museum of Natural History, the CFDA 2023 red carpet was a treat.

Hosted by none other than Anne Hathaway, who reportedly stepped in at the last minute when Sarah Jessica Parker had to pull out of hosting duties, the evening honoured the top American talent in design, styling and personal style. Among the winners was Catherine Holstein, the designer behind cult-favourite brand Khaite, won the coveted Womenswear Designer of the Year Award for the second year in a row. Holstein reigned victorious in a seriously impressive group of nominees including Luar, Altuzarra, Christopher John Rogers, and Tory Burch.

Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen took home the American Accessory Designer of the Year honour for The Row, while Rachel Scott for Diotima was awarded American Emerging Designer of the Year. (One to watch, indeed.)

Kim Kardashian presented the Fashion Icon award to her friend Serena Williams, while Goop took home the Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion that Skims snagged in 2022. Meanwhile, International Designer of the Year went to Jonathan Anderson for J.W. Anderson and Loewe.
