Blue Fox Entertainment Elevates Lisa Gutberlet To President In Restructuring

Blue Fox Entertainment has restructured under a new umbrella company called Blue Fox Entertainment Group, which will manage operations across verticals including domestic distribution and international sales company Blue Fox Entertainment, a minority interest in recently announced Blue Fox Entertainment Canada, digital genre label Red Hound Entertainment, and Blue Fox Financing.

BFEG is currently in talks with president of financing Patrick Rizzotti to take a majority stake in that business, and is also eyeing other acquisitions in the the distribution space.

BFE founder James Huntsman will lead the new parent org and Lisa Gutberlet, EVP of International Sales & Acquisitions will become president of Blue Fox Entertainment, adding oversight of domestic distribution, VOD and the company’s other lines.

“Lisa embodies the characteristics of leadership within this industry. She is smart, dedicated, has an eye for quality content and remains calm under pressure. She will continue to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth initiatives while further strengthening its position as a global leader in the independent film and television market,” said Huntsman.

He said BFEG will streamline the company’s offerings and provide a structure to grow its brand and services to independent film and television productions with North American theatrical and digital distribution, international sales and financing options. It “lowers the cost and reduces complexity for filmmakers, who today have to go to several different companies to get their films to market. We offer a single solution,” he said.

BFEG also named longtime indie publicist Richard Stafford as VP of Public Relations and Patrick Alach as General Counsel, in conjunction with maintaining his practice at law firm Longo & Alach.
