Cardi B Hospitalized, Cancels ONE MusicFest Show: ‘It Breaks My Heart’

Cardi B has canceled an upcoming performance in Atlanta, Georgia, after being hospitalized due to a medical emergency.

The rapper shared the update on her Instagram on Wednesday. “I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” she wrote. “It breaks my heart that I wont get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be thee. Bardi Gang — thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t Worry. Love yall.”

Cardi was set to headline the event alongside Gunna, Jill Scott, Victoria Monét, and Earth, Wind & Fire. The two-day event, which will take place at Piedmont Park on Oct. 26 and 27, will also feature Sexyy Red, GloRilla, Keyshia Cole, TI, Dru Hill, Method Man, Redman, Fat Jo, Fridayy, Youngbloodz, Travis Porter, Crime Mob, Young Dro, Will Traxx, Saucy Santana, and more.

Last October, Kendrick LamarJanet Jackson, and Megan Thee Stallion led the fest, which also coincided with the 50th anniversary of hip-hop and featured a special stage dedicated to the genre’s half-centennial.

ONE MusicFest organizers released their own statement on social media and reposted Cardi’s statement. “Hey #OMFFam! Unfortunately, @iamcardib announced that she is no longer available to join us this year due to ongoing health issues,” reads the caption. “Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery! We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.”
