The sequel is also the No. 4 domestic and international release of the year (surpassing Despicable Me 4 and Dune: Part Two respectively).

Does it get to $1B? That’s still in the balance.

As we reported on Sunday, Dis passed $5B global box office for the year – the first time a studio has done so since the start of the pandemic.
