Sony will be releasing Spyglass’ horror romantic comedy Heart Eyes on February 7, 2025, the studio said Wednesday.
The Josh Ruben-directed movie stars Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding and Gigi Zumbado with Devon Sawa and Jordana Brewster. Pic’s blurb: When the Heart Eyes Killer strikes Seattle, a pair of co-workers pulling overtime on Valentine’s Day are mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer. Now they must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives.
Script is by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon & Michael Kennedy. Landon and Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks are producing. Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Chris Stone serve as executive producers alongside Mel Turner, Murphy and Kennedy.
The only other wide entry scheduled on February 7 so far is Universal’s Ke Huy Quan action movie With Love. Both titles are opening a week ahead of Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World and Paramount’s Smurfs animated movie.
