The Kid Laroi has dropped a new single, “Slow It Down,” which features Quavo. The track centers on a lyrical reinterpretation of Juvenile’s 2003 number “Slow Motion” as the dual singers croon, “You’re moving too fast, I’m trying to make it last.”

The song marks the first collaboration between The Kid Laroi and Quavo, although both have notably worked with some of the same musicians, including Justin Bieber. The pair previously teased the single with a clip of them in the studio together.

“Slow It Down” follows The Kid Laroi’s recent singles, “Aperol Spritz” and “Baby I’m Back (Remix,” which featured Gunna. The musician’s debut studio album, The First Time, arrived last year and he has recently been teasing its follow-up. In October, he noted on X, formerly Twitter, “whatever this next album is we’re having fun shit is sounding great so far.”

The Kid Laroi also celebrated the one year anniversary of The First Time earlier this week, writing, “such a special project to me for so many reasons beyond just the music. very proud of this record & thank you for continuing to support & believe in me.”
