The singer is in Tennessee ahead of her upcoming tour

Lana Del Rey stopped by Robert’s Western World in Nashville over the weekend to showcase her recurring cover of Tammy Wynette’s 1969 crooner “Stand By Your Man.” The singer took the stage with a band and offered an intimate rendition of the track for the bar’s crowd.

Del Rey is currently gearing up for a short North American tour that kicks off in Franklin, TN at the FirstBank Amphitheater on Sept. 14. The trek includes stops in Austin, Tampa, Charlotte, and more throughout September and October.

Del Rey previously covered “Stand By Your Man” in Rogers, AR last month. The performance came between Paradise’s “Ride” and Born to Die’s “Blue Jeans” on the singer’s set list. She didn’t introduce the song or offer commentary on her intentions with covering “Stand by Your Man,” a tune many considered an affront to the feminist movement of the late Sixties for asking women to forgive their partner’s indiscretions since, “after all, he’s just a man.” But Del Rey nevertheless sang it with gusto. (“Stand by Your Man” incidentally ranks Number 473 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.)

In July, Del Rey covered Joni Mitchell’s “For Free” at Newport Folk Festival. Her latest LP, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, dropped in March.
