Nicki Minaj Drops Megan Thee Stallion Diss Track ‘Big Foot’

Nicki Minaj has dropped new song “Big Foot.” The diss track arrives following a dust-up between her and Megan Thee Stallion following the latter’s release of “Hiss” on Friday.

On Minaj’s new track, she goes in for the kill, straight-up naming Megan in the first verse. “This little beggin’ whore talkin’ ’bout Megan’s law/For a free beat, you can hit Megan raw,” Minaj spits. “If you a ghost writer, Pardi in Megan jaw/Shots thrown but I still ain’t let Megan score.” The song culminates in a spoken word warning. “But I’m very serious,” Minaj says at the end of the track, whispering the last part of the following line, and adding that she has more to say in “the second installment”: “Hoe, the things that you’ve lied about, even pertaining to your mom — you don’t want them out, OK?”

Minaj’s venomous bars come after the rapper apparently interpreted that a line in Megan’s “Hiss” dissed her and her husband Kenneth Petty. It’s unclear which part of the song might be about Minaj because her name is never mentioned in Megan’s song, but fans point to the line where Megan raps: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” which references the federal legal requirement that convicted sex offenders appear on a registry. Petty was convicted of attempted rape by force or fear in the mid-Nineties and served four years in prison. In 2021, he was sentenced to a year under home confinement, along with probation and a $55,000 fine, for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

Immediately following the release of “Hiss” on Friday, Minaj went off on Megan on X, formerly Twitter, calling her a liar and a flop, and appearing to imply that Megan lied about being shot by Tory Lanez. Minaj teased “Big Foot” the night “Hiss” dropped. “Bad bitch, she like 6 foot, I call her Big Foot, the bitch fell off, I said get up on your good foot,” she raps in the teaser she share Friday, where she giggles after the line. Afterward, she tweeted a photo of her feet in an apparent slam on Megan — Lanez was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for shooting Megan in the foot.

Megan went on The Breakfast Club Friday morning and said her “Hiss” song was for “these bitches and hoes alike, men or women.”

“Every time one of these motherfuckers uses Megan Thee Stallion name, they get 24 hours of attention,” she said, before adding, “I’m saying, a hit dog gon’ holler. That’s it. Whoever feel it, feel it.”

Over the weekend, Minaj continued to tout her upcoming song while needling an unnamed woman, presumably Megan, in a series of tweets that accused her of using a ghost writer and allowing her best friend to be bullied, among other things. “It’s been rdy for 2 days. just was tryna be cool & let her get her lil streams. wasn’t gon say anything,” Minaj posted. “But I remember how everyone kept my name in their mouth & how I said the next person mention my family gon regret it. Btw, they haven’t even heard the song. Who said it’s even a “diss”?”

Later, Minaj posted that she had five “extra songs” she would release, showcasing her receipts, although she once again didn’t specify whom she was referring to in the tweet before the song dropped. While it was unclear who the tweets were directed at given no name was cited, Minaj pinned her tweet about the initial arrival of “Big Foot” with a photo of Megan. It was expected to arrive on Sunday afternoon, but Minaj later announced that it would be released around midnight. She said she would also release it “a capella so other producers all around the world can make their own beat,” and she kept to her promise, with both tracks appearing on Spotify around midnight.

Megan has not currently responded publicly at press time to any of Minaj’s apparent accusations against her.
