Mark your calendar for Wednesday July 2, 2025 for the new Jurassic World movie, which is a reboot.

As Deadline’s Dish just reported, the next installment is looking to be directed by David Leitch off David Koepp’s screenplay. The movie will center around a new Jurassic era sans the franchise’s previous actors over the course of its 31 years, read Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill.

Through six movies, the Steven Spielberg produced dinosaur series has racked up $6 billion worldwide. The recent trilogy of Jurassic World movies posted the franchise’s top three best grosses, i.e. the 2015 edition ($1.67M billion WW), 2018’s Fallen Kingdom ($1.3 billion) and last year’s Dominion ($1B WW).

Universal always had this date on hold for an event film; the only other title opening against Jurassic World will be an untitled Angel Studios movie on July 4 next year.

The film will be executive produced by Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment, Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce and David Leitch and Kelly McCormick will also produce through 87North.
