After seven years in digital assets, the 26-year-old entrepreneur is attempting his most ambitious venture yet: building CZR Exchange into a global crypto platform, with an expanding footprint across Southeast Asia, Switzerland and South America.

At 26, Charlie Rothkopf has already spent seven years in the cryptocurrency industry.

His career has taken him across the world — from Hong Kong and Singapore to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and from Switzerland to Colombia — speaking at industry events, meeting investors and entrepreneurs, and building relationships throughout the global digital asset economy.

Before CZR Exchange, Rothkopf spent years building businesses and investing within the digital asset industry, including operating a Bitcoin-focused investment fund.

But by 2025, his ambitions had moved beyond participating in the crypto economy.

He wanted to build infrastructure for it.

In March 2025, Rothkopf launched CZR Exchange.

Now, he’s attempting to take it global.

Seven Years in Crypto

Rothkopf entered cryptocurrency years before launching CZR Exchange, giving him exposure to several dramatically different periods in the industry’s development.

He has watched crypto move through market cycles, technological shifts, regulatory changes and increasing institutional adoption.

Along the way, Rothkopf built an increasingly international network.

Rather than operating exclusively from one financial center, he traveled extensively throughout the markets where digital assets were gaining traction.

That approach eventually became part of the philosophy behind CZR.

“Crypto has always been global to me,” Rothkopf says. “I’ve spent years traveling, meeting people and building relationships throughout this industry. When I started CZR, I knew I wanted to build something that could operate with that same global mindset.”

The Launch of CZR Exchange

CZR Exchange officially launched in March 2025.

The initial objective was straightforward: create a modern digital asset trading platform capable of evolving into a much larger financial ecosystem.

Since then, CZR has continued expanding its product offering across areas including spot trading, futures, copy trading, CZR Earn and CZR Wallet.

Rothkopf’s longer-term vision is to develop CZR beyond a traditional cryptocurrency exchange.

Trading may be the foundation, but the broader ambition is to create an ecosystem of interconnected digital asset products capable of serving users across international markets.

“Launching the exchange was the first step,” Rothkopf says. “The bigger opportunity is what we can build around it over the next several years.”

A Founder With a Global Footprint

Rothkopf’s strategy for CZR mirrors the way he has spent much of his career: internationally.

His travels have taken him through major crypto and financial centers including Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Switzerland and Colombia.

He has spoken and participated in industry events while developing relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, traders and other participants across the global digital asset market.

For Rothkopf, being physically present in these markets provides something that can’t easily be replicated remotely.

“You understand a market differently when you’re actually there,” he says. “You meet the users, the entrepreneurs and the people building the ecosystem. Those relationships matter when you’re trying to build something globally.”

Betting on Southeast Asia

One of CZR’s biggest areas of focus is Southeast Asia.

The region has emerged as an important market for digital assets, and Rothkopf has been spending increasing amounts of time across Asia developing CZR’s network and regional presence.

The company’s strategy goes beyond simply acquiring users.

Rothkopf wants CZR to develop long-term partnerships, community relationships and infrastructure throughout the region.

Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian market are expected to play an increasingly important role in that strategy.

Switzerland and South America

At the same time, CZR is developing its international footprint in Switzerland and South America.

Switzerland represents access to one of the world’s most established ecosystems for finance, blockchain and digital asset businesses.

South America presents a very different opportunity.

Rothkopf has spent time in Colombia and across the region, where cryptocurrency adoption and demand for alternative digital financial products continue to create opportunities for new platforms.

The markets may be different, but the strategy connecting them is the same.

Rothkopf is betting that the future of cryptocurrency will remain fundamentally global.

Building the Founder Alongside the Company

As CZR grows, Rothkopf is also becoming increasingly visible himself.

His personal brand is being built around entrepreneurship, crypto, technology and global business, giving audiences a closer look at what happens behind the scenes of building an international exchange.

That includes everything from speaking engagements and conferences to product launches, meetings, partnerships and international expansion.

Rather than only announcing the finished milestones, Rothkopf wants to document the process required to reach them.

It reflects a broader shift in technology and finance where founders themselves increasingly become part of their companies’ distribution and identity.

For Rothkopf, that means the story of CZR and his own entrepreneurial journey are becoming increasingly connected.

The Bigger Bet

Building a cryptocurrency exchange is not an easy business.

Competition is global. Users can move between platforms quickly. Technology has to operate around the clock. And international expansion introduces layers of regulatory and operational complexity.

Rothkopf isn’t ignoring those challenges.

He’s betting that the opportunity is large enough to justify taking them on.

At 26, with seven years already spent in digital assets, he believes his biggest years in the industry are still ahead.

“I’ve basically spent my entire adult life in crypto,” Rothkopf says. “Everything I’ve done over those seven years has led to what we’re building now. CZR is the biggest thing I’ve taken on, and we’re just getting started.”

From Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi, Singapore to Switzerland and Colombia, Rothkopf has spent years building his footprint across the global crypto economy.

Now, he’s attempting to bring those relationships, experiences and ambitions together under one company.

Charlie Rothkopf’s next bet isn’t simply on cryptocurrency. It’s on whether CZR Exchange can become one of the global platforms helping shape its next chapter.
